Actor Daksha Nagarkar Champions Plant-Based Eating In Mercy For Animals’ ‘Powered by Veggies’ Campaign

Mercy For Animals March 5, 2025

Mercy For Animals India has launched a new public awareness campaign promoting plant-based living, featuring popular Telugu film actor and model Daksha Nagarkar, known for her roles in Hora Hori, Husharu, and Zombie Reddy. The campaign aims to educate and inspire individuals to embrace a compassionate, plant-based lifestyle.

Speaking out for farmed Animals, Daksha Nagarkar stated: “I refuse to be complicit in animal suffering. Chickens, cows, and pigs are intelligent, sensitive beings who endure immense cruelty on factory farms. But we have the power to change that. By choosing plant-based foods, we can build a kinder world for animals and ourselves. I encourage everyone to discover the joy of delicious, nourishing plant-based meals.”

The campaign features a striking advertisement of Daksha flexing her arm with the tagline “Powered by Veggies” showcasing the strength and vitality that can be achieved through a plant-based diet. In an accompanying video, Daksha delivers a heartfelt message, shedding light on the suffering endured by animals in the meat, dairy, and egg industries and urging viewers to choose compassion for all living beings.

Daksha Nagarkar joins filmstars like John Abraham, Sonakshi Sinha and Olympic Medalist Sakshi Malik as brand ambassadors for Mercy For Animals India.
